High-Purity Ultrafine Zirconium Carbide (ZrC) Powder
Zirconium carbide (ZrC) is a grey-black transition-metal carbide with a cubic crystal structure. It offers a high melting point (approximately 3,540°C), high-temperature resistance, high strength, high hardness and good thermal conductivity. ZrC also exhibits strong visible-light absorption and infrared reflection characteristics, making it valuable in ultra-high-temperature ceramics and specialized thermal material systems.
Key Product Advantages
- High melting point, strength and hardness
- Good thermal conductivity and elevated-temperature performance
- Useful oxidation resistance in engineered ceramic systems
- Strong visible-light absorption and infrared reflection characteristics
- Fine, adjustable particle size for ceramics, coatings and carbide composites
Typical Chemical Composition
| Grade | C Total (wt.%) | O max (wt.%) | N max (wt.%) | S max (wt.%) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ZrC | 11.0–11.8 | 1.00 | 0.20 | 0.02 |
Values are typical chemical specifications from the supplied product data. Confirm the required limits and test methods before placing a production order.
