High-Purity Ultrafine Titanium Carbide (TiC) Powder
Titanium carbide (TiC) is a grey transition-metal carbide with a face-centered cubic crystal structure. It combines a high melting point (approximately 3,140 ± 90°C), high hardness, high modulus, chemical stability, wear and corrosion resistance, and good electrical and thermal conductivity. Ultrafine TiC is widely used as a hard phase and performance-enhancing additive in advanced materials.
Key Product Advantages
- High hardness and modulus for wear-resistant systems
- High-temperature stability with strong chemical resistance
- Good electrical and thermal conductivity
- Low free carbon and controlled impurity levels
- Fine, adjustable particle size with a narrow distribution
Typical Chemical Composition
| Grade | C Total (wt.%) | Free C max | O max | N max | Fe max | Ca max | Si max |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| TiC | 19.4–19.6 | 0.20 | 1.00 | 0.02 | 0.015 | 0.02 | 0.02 |
All impurity values are wt.%. Regularly available particle-size ranges are 200–400 nm and 400–600 nm; other sizes can be reviewed on request.
